This past August, my husband Yoni and I, and our three beautiful daughters, moved from Hashmonaim to Kerem Reim, a picturesque newly built Yeshuv in the hills of Judea and Samaria. Our children are happy and loving life here.
Yoni and I feel confident we have found the right community for the next chapter of our family's life.

My grandfather, affectionately known as Captain David “WooWoo” Solomont passed away a little over a year ago. I often think about how proud WooWoo would feel, knowing that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were living “in the middle of nowhere”. Just like he and my grandmother did when they first got married, we continue the Solomont tradition of living in a trailer, until our new home is built!

I remember how committed WooWoo was in keeping the Montefiore Synagogue in Lowell up and running. He gave so much of his time, money and energy to make sure we had a place to pray and celebrate.

Now, the people of Kerem Reim are in the midst of raising funds to build a new Synagogue for our community, the dream of creating a building and central place of prayer, a hall to celebrate smachot, and a place of Torah growth and learning.

To honor WooWoo's memory, I have taken upon myself the challenge of raising funds to help build a part of our new Beit Knesset, (Synagogue) here in Kerem Reim.

Please help me reach my goal, in honor of Captain WooWoo, Todros Ben Meir
