The murderous terrorist attack of October 7th on the communities,

kibbutzim and cities in the Gaza Envelope shocked the entire State of Israel.
Suddenly, the realization dawned on the country that terrorism could potentially threaten every Jewish community in the Land of Israel.

Unfortunately, communities and kibbutzim that were not prepared with civil defense units ("rapid response teams") that were trained and armed with the necessary equipment,

paid a heavy price in the terrible massacre of the communities and kibbutzim.
On the other hand, communities and kibbutzim where rapid response teams were organized ahead of time fought back against the terrorists and managed to prevent a massacre of families, women, and children.

Since the beginning of the war, the Tekuma movement has been leading a support framework for the arming of the civil defense units ("rapid response teams") in Judea and Samaria, in communities defined as dangerous areas and those located near the border.

The movement is headed by Berle Crombie, who serves in the Home Front Command, and the arming framework is conducted in cooperation with commanders in the field, security coordinators and the heads of the communities.
