Dreaming to Make a Difference
We aspire to create a meaningful change in Israeli society from a place of deep connection to Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations.
The Establishment of Midreshet Adrabah: A One-of-a-Kind Pre-Army & National Service Midrasha for Girls
Fifteen years ago, Harav David and Efrat Gadish began their social outreach and educational initiatives. They recognized the need to strengthen the values of faith and unity among Israeli youth.
The Need
There is a lack of educational programs intended for religious girls dedicated to Torah study who are enlisting in the army. Midreshet Adraba was created specifically to fill this significant vacuum; to prepare the girls spiritually and emotionally for meaningful army service so they can make a real impact on Israeli society, while growing in their personal relationship to Hashem, Torah and the Jewish people.
The Vision
Adraba is passionate about inspiring a new generation of youth who will lovingly spread the beauty of Torah, faith and Jewish tradition to all segments of Israeli society.
The Team
Rav David Gadish grew up on Kibbutz Yavneh and studied at the religious kibbutz yeshiva
Ma'ale Gilboa and Ahavat Yisrael hesder yeshiva in Netivot. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from Herzog College and a master's degree in Jewish History from the Hebrew University. Rav David served as an infantry officer in the Golani Brigade during his mandatory and reserve army service. An educator at heart, Rabbi David has worked extensively with youth in many different capacities, and uses his knowledge and experience to co-head Midreshet Adraba with his wife, Efrat.
Efrat Gadish grew up in Gush Etzion and studied at Midreshet Aravot and Beit Morasha in Netivot. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration, is a licensed bridal instructor and marriage counselor for women. Over the years, Efrat has worked with empowering youth both prior to and post army and national service. She combines her educational expertise and business management skills to co-head Midreshet Adraba with her husband, Rav David.
