Supporting the Industry and Employment of Reserve Soldiers and Gaza Envelope Communities: Bringing Passover Joy to IDF Soldiers
A year and a half ago, a matzah bakery was established in Netivot with an investment of several million shekels. The bakery operates year-round and employs 50 permanent workers from Netivot, Sderot, Ofakim, and the surrounding communities.
Yedidia Harush, one of the partners in the bakery, lives in Shlomit, a community near the Gaza Strip. He serves in Unit 646, a paratrooper unit, and has been on active duty in Gaza for the past four months. His wife and four children have been evacuated from their home due to the security situation.
The period after the High Holidays is critical for matzah factories. It’s the time when orders are received for Passover. Due to the situation, the factory was not operational for an extended period, and Yedidia’s reserve service prevented him from marketing the bakery’s products.
Today, the factory is operational, but time is not on its side, nor on the side of the remaining unsold merchandise.
This is where we turn to you!
Dear Friends of Israel!
Let’s support an Israeli business from the Gaza Envelope, a business owned by a reserve soldier who risked his life for the sake of the people! It’s time to give back with great love!
The bakery is facing an uncertain future due to the war and the reservists. To save it, we’re launching a project where you can help us save the bakery and also support IDF soldiers by providing them with high-quality matzah for Passover.
How does it work?
Purchase a Deluxe Matzah Set: By purchasing from us, you’ll contribute to a deluxe set of three handmade kosher matzot. These matzot will be distributed at collection points across the country or directly from the bakery.
Support the Soldiers: Your contribution not only helps the bakery but also supports the reserve soldiers who have been affected by the war and their military service.
Empower the Local Factory: The bakery, located near the Gaza Strip, employs around 50 workers from the area.
Thank you in advance, On behalf of the bakery and owner Yedidia Harush, Am Yisrael Chai! 🇮🇱
