PROTECTING FAMILIES IN RECHELIM
We are reaching out to you for support from Rechelim, a small Modern Orthodox Yishuv (town), an hour north of Jerusalem and about 30 minutes east of Tel Aviv. Approximately 140 families live in Rechelim, 40 of them in a "Caravan neighborhood", a neighborhood of mobile homes, in which young families with small children live. Unfortunately, this neighborhood doesn't have bomb shelters or any safe havens for our young families, which has been scary and dangerous. Just this morning (Thursday, 19/6/25), a huge fragment of an intercepted missile fell minutes away, in the neighboring town of Ariel. The results could have been deadly if it had landed in Rechelim.
Most of the neighborhood men have been called up for reserve duty and are serving on the front lines while their wives and children on the home front remain completely unprotected. In response to this urgent situation, we are launching an emergency fundraising campaign for the purchase of a public bomb shelter (the cost is 160,000 NIS for a 24-square-meter shelter). The shelter will be partially funded by the municipality and the rest will be paid for by residents and donors. Even one shelter can save lives, and Rechelim is aiming for three shelters, so that all families can be properly protected. This is not a luxury but a life-and-death necessity!
We appeal to you to take part in protecting our families from missile attacks and giving them a safe space.
In prayers for calmer and peaceful days, we deeply appreciate all contributions
