Dear Friends!
Avigail was established twenty years ago, on Mount Hebron regional council, with a view overlooking the ancient synagogue in Tel Maon.
Avigail is part of the “Young Settlements”, and despite the complexity, we are deepening our roots, and with the help of local resources, have built the framework for a permanent synagogue in our settlement.
Avigail, a mixed community, is made up of diverse shades and colors from all parts of Israeli society.
In a community like ours, a synagogue is a place of connections, a tapestry of the various colorful threads that exist here.
The residents of Avigail have given, and are still making generous contributions to the construction of the synagogue, which has begun to take shape.
At the moment, we are left with the task of completing the building. The ground has already been broken, the structure erected, and the windows designed to face the view.
“If you hewed a stone on the mountain - to erect a new building!” (Naomi Shemer)
With the feeling that this is the time to grow, and a strong desire to finish the project, we embark on a mass funding campaign to complete the synagogue. We are confident in the strength of our community, and in the important circles that give us their power to grow further – family and friends, old and new – to stand behind us with their support and encourage Avigail’s continued progress towards growth and expansion.
"... Not in vain, my brother, have you hewed for a new building, because a temple will be built from these stones" - Naomi Shemer.
We thank you for your participation and for joining in adding strength and structure in our beloved country!
