Yeshivat Avinoam Evyatar – Torah That Builds the Land!
Yeshivat Avinoam was founded in 2018 in memory of Second Lieutenant Avinoam Cohen z”l, who fell in operational activity. Led by Rabbi David Amitai, the yeshiva is part of the Beit Midrash Elon Moreh institutions and is characterized by a unique spirit – deep, traditional yeshiva learning infused with the study of Emunah and Chassidut, all within a vibrant atmosphere of Torat Eretz Yisrael. At the same time, it values a pioneering, hands-on commitment to settling the Land of Israel.
Our thriving community includes dozens of families, 120 single students and 40 married students; in addition, 50 of our students are currently serving in the IDF.
As part of our vision, we led the establishment of the community of Evyatar, the only new settlement officially approved by the Israeli government in the past two decades. We have fought tirelessly to make it a permanent home for the yeshiva. After a long and arduous battle, temporary structures were set up to house our Torah learning – and we are still using these temporary structures today.
The war has brought immense challenges to our growth, and along with these struggles, we have lost three of our precious students – Gilad Nitzan, Maoz Morell, and Uri Nisanovitz Hy”d.
Yet we remain steadfast in our belief that only through Torah – and with the strength that Torah gives us – we will continue, with Hashem’s help, to inherit this Land. Now, more than ever, we must strengthen and expand the yeshiva with renewed courage and determination.

Join us in building and strengthening Yeshivat Avinoam Evyatar – luminous and powerful Torah study that builds the Land!
