Building the Yeshiva Through Choice Trust and Love
Thirty-two years ago, in the midst of the Negev desert, the Yeshiva High School of Mitzpe Ramon was established. This Yeshiva’s focus is on education based on the words of our Sages.
"Behold, I sit in the house of cedars, and the Ark of God sits within the curtain."
Our connection to this area and this place has been part of our educational path, for 32 years yet we have been conducting our educational activities in a temporary location and in various buildings that have been converted for the educational purpose of the yeshiva. The dream of establishing a permanent Beit Midrash has yet to be fulfilled. Like David Hamelech’s dream of building The Temple our Beit Midrash is still "within the curtain” in a sports hall that has been converted into a Beit Midrash. In the past year, despite all challenges, we garnered our strength and began the establishment of an enduring complex for our Yeshiva the construction of the Beit Midrash - the beating heart - of our institution. The Beit Midrash being built constitutes the center of the Yeshiva campus and completes the connection of the Yeshiva to its pivotal place and the conjoining of the spiritual to the physical environment. The Beit Midrash is the place where our students feel our trust in them, experience the significance of choice, and distinctly feel our love for them.
