We all stand with warrior Sa'ar Ophir!
On the morning of Simchat Torah (October 7), senior medic Sa'ar Ophir left his home for the combat zones, driven by dedication and camaraderie to save innocent civilians in the Gaza envelope communities.
Sa'ar and his comrades fought bravely with self-sacrifice and saved dozens of civilians.
To our shame and shock, since then Sa'ar has been persecuted by the State Attorney's Office. Initially, he was charged with "murdering" a terrorist in Nukhba. After this case was dismissed with strong criticism of the prosecution, six(!) additional criminal cases were opened against him with various allegations; these are being closed one after another without indictments.
Now the prosecution is trying to falsely accuse Sa'ar of kidnapping and torturing a Hamas-supporting terrorist, and for about five months he has been detained until the end of proceedings! After a district judge ruled that he should be released to house arrest, Supreme Court Justice Khaled Kabub overturned the decision!
We all stand with warrior Sa'ar Ophir in demanding his immediate release!
