The war hero, Captain Harel Sharvit gave himself totally to the people of Israel and settling the land.

He died two months ago, fighting in Gaza, cloaked in the spirit of heroism, with a gun in one hand and a Tanach in the other.

"I am going to restore the honor of Israel and am willing to die for Am Yisrael!"

"Why should someone else die instead of me??"

"Anyone who gives for the Land of Israel, gets back many times over"

"What have we got to fear? God is with us!"

These are the words that Harel said over and over to us throughout the war.

His family and friends are now setting up "The Harel center for Israeli Heroism" in the Jordan Valley. The center's activity includes educational activity and commitment to building the land of Israel.

Education - informal education and activities for youth, for soldiers and the general public, in the spirit and light of Harel's way. With the instillation of values: Leadership, heroism, Israeli strength, tikkun olam, victory, dedication to truth, sovereignty and Jewish identity.
Activities and tours for the youth who will set up and create in the Land of Israel a powerful generation whose legs are firmly on the ground but whose heads are toward heaven.

Building the land of Israel - a significant movement in the place where Harel was active: the completion of a Bet Knesset and Beit Midrash that Harel had been involved in building and development of infrastructure necessary to the place.
