The Field of Heroes - Honoring Israeli heroism and birthright.
In memory of Major Shilo Har Eben and Liel Itach HY"D, two of Israel's heroes, who were residents of Anatot.
On October 7th, 2023, Major Shilo Har Eben HY"D, Company Commander in the Golani Patrol battled against the numerous terrorists in the outpost. Single handed, Shilo eliminated a large number of the enemy. Despite a hand injury, he continued to fight with utmost bravery protecting his friends until his last breath.
Shilo loved sports very much and supported the Jerusalem Hapoel teams.
Liel Itach HY"D, a fan of Beitar Jerusalem and an avid soccer fan, was at the youth music festival in Nova on October 7th. Liel chose to stay in a shelter with his two girlfriends, even though he had the opportunity to escape. In this noble act, he sacrificed his life for the sake of others.
The "Field of Heroes" in the Anatot Settlement will be a continuation of their path, a place where bravery and strength will be instilled in the youth as part of their glorious legacy.
True victory over terrorism and evil is in the continuation of living: children playing and building for tomorrow.
Every game on the playing field, children's laughter and cheering will be a living testimony of the victory of the human spirit over the savage murderers.
