Shalom from West Binyamin to all Israel friends
On October 7th, during Shabbat Simhat Torah, the commander of the IDF forces in Gush Talmonim (a cluster of localities located 15 km from Modi’in, near Ramallah) came to our yishuv to announce the sudden departure of his troops. Their mission: Stop the massacres perpetrated by Hamas terrorists in southern Israel. “It’s up to you to take charge,” the officer declared to our security staff.
Our reserve unit 8881 had to act immediately with whatever means were available: old but functional rifles, as well as heavy and worn combat helmets and vests. After spending 8 months in the field, enduring all weather conditions with already worn-out equipment, our reserve unit urgently needs modern and adequate gear. Night and day, we patrol to ensure security in our villages, which are just a few hundred meters from the “autonomous zones” of Ramallah and hostile localities openly flying the Hamas flag.
Please help us fund the purchase of security devices, defense equipment, and necessary medical supplies to confront these terrorist threats and prevent massacres similar to those on October 7th. Since the start of the war, IDF budgets and generous donors have naturally prioritized the southern and northern fronts. However, terrorist attacks are currently increasing in our strategic region overlooking central Israel. We need your assistance to be properly equipped and avert the worst.
