Who doesn’t know ‘Honenu’?
For 25 years, the employees and volunteers at Honenu have been running from courtroom to courtroom around the country supporting hundreds of members of Am Yisrael including soldiers and citizens who need legal support before the authorities who are often disinterested in arriving at the truth.
Thank G-d, we have managed to save many Jewish souls.
These include soldiers who were facing threats to their lives and found themselves being interrogated by the military police, terror victims who lost those dearest to them and seek justice, and ordinary citizens in dangerous situations who acted to defend themselves. Over the years, Honenu has always stood up for them and for every case where the Jewish people needed us.
Honenu has been there to offer a helping hand for decades. From the expulsion from Gush Katif when thousands were detained, to the destruction of Amona and hundreds of protests over the years; for teenagers who found themselves in the Shin Bet interrogation rooms; for victims of Arab rioting and of the current war, Honenu has stood by their side.
Recently, Honenu has faced a rise in calls from the public including to support those protesting aid to Gaza, to help those investigated in the Sde Teiman saga, and to advise soldiers facing interrogations over actions they took to defend their lives.
The financial burden on the organization is larger than it's ever been.
This past year, Honenu received hundreds of requests from terror victims and individuals who found themselves in legal jeopardy for actions taken to defend themselves and the Jewish people.
Here at Honenu, we have undertaken a campaign to support the future of our work.
We’ve never turned away anyone who has sought our help.
