!Continuing with courage
We are now building a new synagogue in Kida in memory of Noam Raz, may his memory be blessed
On Friday Noam (may G-d avenge his blood) fell in a battle while fighting terrorists next to Jenin alongside his fellow soldiers from the elite IDF “Yamam” anti-terror unit
This has left a huge void in our hearts. Noam - a national hero and a man who devoted his life to fighting for the Nation of Israel on the battlefield - was also committed to building the Land of Israel, both as a farmer and as a founder of Kida
Noam was a family man who was modest, quiet, and who personified the concept “say little and do much” (Ethics of the Fathers, 1:15). He was also a man of Torah and prayer who rose early every morning for “vatikin” prayers and consistently made time to learn and teach Torah at Kida’s temporary synagogue
The tragic news of Noam’s passing came as we prepared to launch a community-wide fundraising drive to build a permanent synagogue in Kida
We are now planning to dedicate the new synagogue in his memory, and we pray that this effort will bring us divine comfort during this challenging time. We know that we are guaranteeing Noam’s legacy by continuing to develop Kida - a place to which he devoted his entire adult life - and by building and sanctifying the Land of Israel
!Please be our partner as we honor Noam and his legacy
