Our heroic community feels privileged to be building a magnificent synagogue in the city of Ofakim. Over the past year and a half, we have discovered immense strength and courage. Hundreds of families from within our community and the city have stepped up for the people of Israel, doing whatever was needed. Men, women, youth, and children alike have all shown true heroism. The greatest bravery of all belongs to those among us who gave their lives in battle for the people of Israel – for all of us. We have therefore decided to name the synagogue, which will be built in the heart of the Mishor HaGefen neighborhood, after our holy heroes – Moshe and Eliad Ohayon, of blessed memory, a father and son, our very own heroes. They lived their entire lives for others, not for themselves, and on Simchat Torah, that selfless strength shone through in all its might. In order to establish a synagogue that will be a spiritual beacon and empower us to continue forward courageously, we need fighters. We need you as ambassadors. We are determined to carry on the call of “Here I am” that our community members have been declaring since Simchat Torah until today. Building this miniature Beit HaMikdash in Ofakim is another step in our victory over our enemies. The Ohayon family and the members of the Mishor HaGefen Community, Ofakim
