Dear Partners and Beloved Friends,
The Yeshiva in Dimona has been flourishing for thirty-five years, like a flower in the desert.
Thirty-five years of creation and contribution, years of Torah study and education in Dimona.
During these years, the unique Torah of Dimona has come to life, serving as a wellspring for a weary soul in the heart of the desert. It is a Torah of life, joy, and upliftment, elevating the individual, their family, and their community.
Throughout these years, Rabbi Turgeman, together with the Yeshiva’s rabbis, community rabbis, and educational staff, has toiled with unwavering dedication for Am Yisrael. Rabbi Turgeman meets with the people of the Dimona in joy and in sorrow on Shabbat, festivals, and weekdays alike.
In the fields of Torah and education, Rabbi Turgeman has raised generations of students and continues to teach Torah all throughout the city.
Today, the Yeshiva attracts students from across the country who come to immerse themselves in Torah study after their high school years, enlist in the army, and start their own remarkable families.
Many of the Yeshiva's alumni stand at the forefront of the IDF, both in active service and reserve duty, during times of war. Yeshiva students and alumni are deeply involved in our various initiatives in Dimona.
Over the years, the Yeshiva has faced many trials and challenges and, at times, has struggled to stay open. Yet despite all the hardships, we are blessed that the sound of Torah study continues to resonate in our Beit Midrash at 4 Masada Street (next to the Kupat Holim A) for the past 15 consecutive years!
Recently, an opportunity arose for the Yeshiva to establish its Torah foundation by acquiring both the land and the building.
However, the purchase offer is extremely high, and if we are unable to meet it, we will be forced to leave the premises. The cost of the Yeshiva building is approximately 7 million NIS.
Some of Rabbi Turgeman’s and the Yeshiva's dear friends have stepped forward with a significant loan covering half of the purchase cost. We are full of faith that we will succeed in raising the remaining funds with your help, dear friends and partners, and with the support of the many generous indivduals who wish to foster Torah study in Dimona.
With hard work and effort, we will gain tremendous momentum in recruiting students and establishing Torah study. With great dedication, we will establish the Yeshiva building, and aspire to expand and broaden our activities by recruiting more students and establishing additional institutions.
May all those who are and will be part of this holy endeavor be abundantly blessed by Hashem, with all that their hearts desire.
With love and faith,
Yehuda Turgeman
