ISRAEL AT WAR!
The events of October 7, 2023, shook our nation to its core. The infiltration of terrorists from the Gaza Strip into our tranquil border communities
left us in shock and mourning.
In response, the State of Israel declared war, and all of us stand united against this threat, knowing that at any cost, we must prevail—and with the help of G-d, we will prevail!
In peaceful times, the Shivat Zion Foundation primarily focused on providing economic support to families and nurturing communal growth. However, following these tragic events, requests for immediate assistance were received in the following critical areas:
Financial Support for Needy Families and War Victims:
In light of the situation, Shivat Zion established a dedicated fund to provide financial assistance to families directly affected by the war and to vulnerable groups currently in dire need of extra help.
The fund will assist victims of terror and war, such as residents evacuated due to threats or those who lost their homes because of the war, including many dealing with trauma, bereavement, and loss.
Additionally, the fund will support families whose income has been affected due to the war, families in need of alternative housing, and basic supplies.
Each family will receive an average aid of approximately $750. Our goal is to assist 500 families by January 1, 2024, with a total sum of $375,000.
Your support is crucial to creating an immediate and tangible change in the lives of residents in endangered areas.
Security and First Aid Equipment for Communities:
The Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust will fund security equipment and first aid supplies to security, rescue, and emergency response teams, providing essential first aid in emergency cases.
So far, we have raised over $625,000 for this purpose, benefiting approximately 70 communities, and our efforts continue!
These communities serve as the barrier between the residents of Israel and those in the Gaza Strip, the Northen border and Gush Dan. They urgently need security equipment such as thermal cameras, drones, night vision equipment, generators, first aid kits, and additional emergency supplies.
The total cost of this project is estimated at approximately $875,000, with each community requiring an average of $12,500 worth of basic equipment.
As part of the foundation's national mobilization effort,
we have decided to undertake all fundraising and operational costs.
This means that every dollar donated for these purposes will go entirely toward supporting the families in need and purchasing equipment for emergency response teams!
Your contribution, regardless of the amount, will serve as a source of hope and strength for residents during these challenging times.
Thank you very much!
