For two thousand years they waited… For two thousand years they faithfully looked forward to the day the children would return!!
And just as in the future there will be a resurrection of the dead, the voice of Torah came alive in Eastern Lachish.
Three years ago, we were privileged to found the Yeshiva High School- "Tzviya Karmei Katif".

Presently, the student body has 120 students from 9th grade to 12th grade. The students come from all over the country.
Our Yeshiva is located in Moshav "Karmei Katif". There are currently 100 families living in the Moshav, and an additional 100 families are scheduled to join the Moshav in the future. The name Katif is not coincidental. The Moshav was established by 50 families who were forced to leave the sands of "Gush Katif" sixteen years ago.
In Gush Katif, there was a Yeshiva in the Moshav, but since the disengagement, the Yeshiva had not been rebuilt. We see the Yeshiva as a continuation of the voice of Torah which existed in Gush Katif and was abruptly stopped. Now, it has been renewed.

In addition, this entire region of Israel, the Eastern Lachish region, is developing beautifully, but unfortunately, until now, it has been void of any Torah center. There are many Shuls, but not one study hall where people can learn day and night.

With G-D's help, the Tzviya educational network has invested much money to build dormitories, classrooms, and a brand new dining hall which was finished a few weeks ago. But we feel that our "heart" is missing. Until now we have learned in the classrooms, and recently in the dining hall, where we also eat.

The time has come to build the "heart". In two weeks we will be embarking on a three day campaign ( NOV. 21-23) to raise money for our Study Hall. The estimated cost is 1.6 million shekel. We plan to raise half of this sum( 800000 shekel) by approaching our closest circles, people who know us. In order to complete the project, we would like you to partner with us and help complete the Study Hall.

It will be a privilege for us to have your name on the building.

The method which we will be using to build the Study Hall is the same method we used to build the dining hall. The most significant advantage to this way of building is that it is very quick.

We already have all of the building permits. I am attaching the plans and simulation of the project, as well as pictures of the location.
Thank you very very much!!

With much love,
Ra'anan Zahavi, Rosh Yeshiva
